Application Process

Applicants for a home in a HOPES community need to meet the following criteria:

  • Have an acquired brain injury or neurological condition;

  • Have an interest in community co-operative living, and be willing to have some shared responsibilities; and participate on an ongoing basis in the co-operative;

  • Have a family, friend or advocate prepared to volunteer time to support the community;

  • Agree to abide by the community rules;

  • Be respectful of other residents privacy and property;

  • Be willing to maintain their unit and contribute to maintaining the co-op common area;

  • Have the ability to obtain sufficient support, and consider sharing some hours with others;

  • Be 18 years or over, and under 65 when applying;

  • Be prepared to pay rent and/or other costs as agreed with HOPES Inc., in advance by direct debit.

Currently, there are no vacancies within the Laetare Court Community - however we are seeking expressions of interest for our Future Housing Project.
